The Barbican is a comfortable B&B a stones throw away from the beach and the heart of Paignton. Run by two generations of the same family dedicated to bringing you the best experience.

Paignton is based in the heart of the beautiful English Riviera with 22 miles of coastline and beaches. The Barbican is in a wonderful position being only 250m from the sandy beach.

We are ideally positioned for public transport only a 5 minute walk from Paignton train station and bus station. Paignton Harbour, a 12 minute walk from The Barbican, offers a ferry service to Brixham and Torquay from April to October.

All nine of our guest rooms are ensuite. We have a variety of accommodation available including small doubles, twin rooms, standard doubles and family rooms.

We are very happy to accommodate children and we can provide a travel cot/high chair upon request.

All rooms have high speed wi-fi, flat screen TV, hospitality tray, shower toiletries and a hairdryer. An iron/ironing board is available upon request.

Breakfast at your convenience

Breakfast is served everyday from 7.30am – 9.30am.

There is plenty of variety at The Barbican for breakfast. Wherever possible we try to provide local and fresh ingredients.

Our menu includes:

  • Choice of cereals

  • Selection of fruit juices.

  • Homemade Granola pots with fruit

  • Croissants and Pain au chocolat

  • Full English breakfast including sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown, beans, tomato and mushrooms (Or any combination)

  • Toast white or brown

  • Scrambled eggs, poached eggs

  • Tea, coffee and selection of fruit/specialised teas
